Hacienda Soleada del Mar
T his "Sunny Estate on the Sea of Cortez" is on the beach of a residential community called Los Zacatitos and located 8 miles North East of San Jose del Cabo. On the East Cape right beside Punta Gorda, this quiet desert community, Los Zacatitos ("Zac" to the locals) is made up of a mixture of permanent and occasional residents. The white sandy beach is spectacular and can be walked for miles in either direction. The little bay to the right of the Hacienda provides a safe swimming place most of the year.
The Hacienda
This
9200 square foot estate with ocean views has seven bedrooms: five bedrooms
are complete with private ensuite bathrooms and two bedrooms are connected
by bathroom, creating a special set up for a family. The Hacienda can comfortably
accommodate up to fifteen people.
The Great Room has sixteen foot ceilings and is equipped with an entertainment center, complete with satellite TV, dvds/videos and music. Breakfast can be enjoyed at our twelve seat dining room table or at our eight seat table on the palapa covered deck.
A pool and spa provides the opportunity
to cool off and relax or take a swim in the sparkling waters of the Sea of
Cortez.
How to get there
A good
portion of the drive to our bed & breakfast vacation rental is through
the Baja desert, with spectacular views and scenery. Past the village
of La Playita is Puerto Los Cabos, half of the distance to the Hacienda is
on a paved road and the remainder of about 4 miles is on a dirt road. For

Hacienda Soleada bed and breakfast vacation
rental offers a very quiet tranquil vacation, with a short drive (30 minutes)
to all amenities on the corridor and adventure beyond the norm.
Nature
Stars at night brighten
the sky beyond belief. Activities of the marine
life in the Sea of Cortez is very entertaining, especially during the whale
season starting at the beginning of December through March when you
can watch whales play in the sea right in front of the Hacienda. During that
time the Manta rays will also be active, showing themselves by spiraling in
the air and flopping back down in the water. Of course, the dolphins
are always frolicking around. The back yard is the incomparable
Baja desert with all of it's beauty.
Transportation

Renting a vehicle with high clearance is recommended. The road from the Los Cabos International Airport to our Bed and Breakfast vacation rental is paved for 1/2 of the distance. The other 1/2 is off road, dirt road with no lighting. Once travelled there is no issue day or night. See our Car Rentals page.
